CSI awarded ‘Expert’ status for the Power Systems Competency in the IBM PartnerWorld Programme.
With this award, IBM recognises CSI’s expertise, breadth and depth of Power Systems knowledge. The CSI team had to achieve a deep set of stringent technical goals to reach this status. In addition, the CSI team had to prove its deep commercial and real-world client application know-how across a number of subjects highlighting CSI is the leading expert in IBM Power i Systems across the UK.
IBM Power Systems running IBM i, AIX or Linux lead the industry in efficiency, stability, reliability and cost-effective high performance. In a world where business success depends on managing and exploiting huge volumes of data, these are key requirements. Seven of the Fortune Top 10 and over 70% of the Fortune 100 use IBM Power Systems. This includes the ten top banks, all ten largest telcos, 80% of top ten retailers and top ten insurance companies.
CSI has over 35 years’ experience of providing managed services to hundreds of IBM clients running Power Systems. The CSI PowerCloud enables customers to move Power workloads to a pay-as-you-go, fully managed, secure private cloud. Plus direct connectivity with near-zero latency to the world’s public clouds through the CSI PowerCloud Exchange is definitely not something any other private cloud provider can claim.
IBM believes our status as a Platinum Partner and Expert in Power Systems truly reflects the extent of our Architecture practice (which covers servers, storage, cyber security, middleware, business analytics and cognitive solutions) is worthy of ‘Expert Status’.
[blockquote cite=”Mark Vargo, CTO, CSI” ] “We worked closely alongside IBM to bring the CSI PowerCloud to market. No other business has invested as heavily in the UK in IBM Power Systems technology, skills and insight – and I’m proud of our team for achieving this status. It’s well known that the seasoned and popular IBM Power-i is still today one of the safest and performant platforms available: ‘mission critical’ is its middle name. And with the CSI PowerCloud, being able to use and pay for it by the drink, means this platform is not only cool, it’s the envy of the younger cloud crowd”. [/blockquote]
