i-UG, the UK’s largest active user group for users of IBM i, is delighted to announce that registration is now open for the final i-POWER conference of 2020.
This will be i-UG’s second virtual conference, following on from the hugely successful virtual International i-POWER conference in June and hopefully, subject to prevailing UK government guidelines, i-UG will be able to host at least some part of the conference at a live venue, thus making it a hybrid – part live / part virtual conference.
For this reason, once again i-UG has reserved facilities at the Mount Hotel in Wolverhampton and is giving delegates the option to choose to attend
in person or
virtually
The choice is entirely up to you but in-person places will obviously be limited.
If plans for in-person sessions are cancelled, the conference will still go ahead on 10th December as a 100% virtual conference.
Speakers and topics confirmed for the conference so far are:
David Spurway– The current IBM i roadmap (including the latest news on the POWER9 G models and the up-coming POWER10 servers)
Carol Woodbury – Managing Security using SQL Services
Birgitta Hauser – Generating and consuming IFS Files and Web-Services with embedded SQL
Andy Youens – Containers on IBM i
More information on these sessions and details on additional sessions will be released over the next few weeks and updated on the i-UG web site.
