Solution Manager evolved from ASAP (Accelerated SAP) which was first used in 1996 to assist in implementations; it has now evolved to Solution Manager 7.0 (renamed in May 2008 from 4.0). Solution Manager is a mandatory system for new SAP releases and upgrading to ERP 6 and above and is used for the management and approval of support packages, stacks and Enhancement packs for the landscape. CSI use solution manager for the monitoring and support desk for our SAP implementations. Solution Manager can be used for the full lifecycle of SAP solutions covering implementations, operations and optimisation.
