CSI have won a major new contract to supply Renold Plc with SAP Business-All-in-One, using the SAP Manufacturing Best Practice Solution, running on an IBM System x IBM NAS storage system.
Mike Bartkiw, Group IT Manager of Renold plc said "we were faced with an interesting challenge from our CEO which was to improve the value that IT brings to the business, while at the same time reducing the cost of running IT over several years. This led us to review our current systems and realise that we needed a 'single' business system platform that would run our Renold Chain, Renold Gear and Renold Couplings businesses in over 20 countries around the globe. After majoring on the key areas we believe are different in our business, CSI demonstrated that SAP Business All-in-One was the single solution that could meet our requirements for Product Configuration, Profit Centre Accounting and Management Reporting. The project kicked off in February, with a global roll out planned to be completed by late 2011. We believe this is achievable having reviewed the wealth of processes provided within SAP Business All-in-One."
As part of the project Renold will also deploy SAP Business Objects as their Business Intelligence platform.
Ian Rutherford, Head of SAP Business All-in-One within CSI, said "this is an excellent win for CSI and further demonstration that SAP Business All-in-One is exploding the myth that SAP is a product for large organisations. It's a little known fact that 70% of SAP's customers are Midmarket Companies."
CSI, in business for over 26 years and with offices in Leeds, Nottingham, Oxford and London has been providing applications, integration and infrastructure to its 300 customers, who range from Midmarket businesses to large multi-national enterprises, across a wide range of sectors.
